INFORMATION ON SUMMER OPEN SERIES 2007 WAS AN OUTSTANDING YEAR FOR RAFTER M BAR W! The reason is simple, we felt we could attract more contestants if we in turn made an open series, which did not require contestants to purchase a card or permit this will lower the cost to enter. It worked! In our open series the top five money winners of each even did receive the year end awards that was only after qualifying! How do contestants qualify? Contestants must compete, not just be entered at 99% of the Rafter M bar W shows! If the contestant misses two eligible shows they will not be in the running for the year end awards but can continue to enter and compete just for the pot. Entry fees will be set at $51 with a $15 stock charged/timer fee & a $1 fee for year end awards. The left over $35 is added to the monies added for each event. IN THE TEAM ROPING EVENT BOTH ENDS GET ADDED MONEY persons entering can only enter once. Entries will be taken by phone voice mail, this should eliminate busy lines and will be recorded and kept until after the show date for any reference. Contestants will leave their NAME,SHOW LOCATION/PERFORMANCE PREFERENCE, EVENT, PHONE #, & CITY/STATE starting thirteen days prior to the rodeo unless otherwise stated. Books will remain open until the event is filled. Entries will only be accepted by the contestant, no friends or family can enter for contestants. Exceptions to this rule would be the team roping event where as the contestant can enter partner, or a husband & wife competing in separate events (example: Bull Rider & Barrel Racer), the people calling in these contestants will be held responsible for the fees of the called in person whether they show or not! BE AWARE! If traveling with other people please note upon call in! (EX: Dawn Montag, Belmont, 7:30 pm then slack, Barrel Race, 724-375-6961, Aliquippa, PA) consider yourself entered you may check out the website which should show entry sheets 2 days after call ins! Contestants that enter will be accepting the fact that the judges hired by Rafter M bar W are qualified in the sport of Rodeo or Bull Ridings and have no arguments as into their ruling! All contestants will be ready to compete when called upon! If contestant is called 3 times to perform with no response that contestant will be disqualified. Contestant fees will be paid at least a half an hour prior to start of the show for events that do not require a draw and at least an hour before for events requiring a draw for livestock fees must be paid by Contestant competing so that they may sign the release form, they must be dressed in Full Western attire at this time. (Cowboy Hat, boots, long sleeve collared shirt) If contestants are running late and want to call do not call office # call Bob's Cell and leave a message! (740) 296-6507 RAFTER M BAR W HAS THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY EVENT IF LESS THAN 3 ENTRIES NOTIFICATION WILL BE POSTED ON WEB AND CALL BACKS WILL BE MADE TO ENTERED CONTESTANTS IN THAT CANCELED EVENT! If anyone has any grips, issues or concerns they need to bring it to the attention of either Judges if at a Rodeo or Bob or Dawn Montag at anytime. We at Rafter M bar W are always willing to listen but can't always guarantee change if you wait until things are over to say something we can only look into future changes that may not satisfy current concerns we are not out to upset anyone but we do have a show to run and try to as smoothly & professional as possible please try to understand we value everyone's opinions and comments.
